Roshini

Privacy

This page covers two different things, because they collect different amounts: the website you are reading now, and the Roshini app.

The app

The app has no network entitlement. It cannot make a network request even if something inside it tried to. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server anywhere in the product.

  • Your notes, documents, calendar entries, to-dos and people never leave your device.
  • No third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDK is included in the app. Not Mixpanel, not Firebase, not PostHog, not anything self-hosted.
  • The only measurement is Apple App Analytics, which is aggregate, opt-in at the operating-system level, and never sees the content of what you write. It tells us things like how many people installed the app, not what any one person typed into it.
  • Purchases, if you choose the subscription or lifetime unlock, are handled entirely by StoreKit and Apple. The app itself sends nothing about the purchase anywhere else.

If this ever changes, it will not change quietly. The app's App Store privacy label, this page, and the product's own documentation would all be rewritten together.

This website

Nothing you write in the app is ever near this website. What the site collects is ordinary and small:

  • Hosting logs. Like any website, the hosting and network provider keep short-lived technical logs (such as IP address and request time) for security and abuse prevention. This is standard infrastructure behaviour, not something the site adds on purpose.
  • Optional analytics. If you accept the banner offered on this site, a privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics tool records which pages were viewed, in aggregate. If you decline, or never respond, nothing beyond the hosting logs above is recorded. Declining changes nothing about how the site works.

The website does not ask you to create an account, does not use tracking cookies, and does not sell or share anything to advertisers.

Questions

This is a solo project. If you have a question about either of the above, it is best raised as an issue on the project's repository.
